Shootout at Wadala is a 2013 Bollywood crime thriller film written and directed by Sanjay Gupta. It is a prequel to the 2007 hit Shootout at Lokhandwala, and it is the second installment of the Shootout series. It is based on the book Dongri to Dubai. The film features Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Kangna Ranaut, Tusshar Kapoor, Manoj Bajpai and Sonu Sood in lead roles. The film dramatizes the first-ever registered encounter by Mumbai police, where gangster Manya Surve was shot dead, which took place at the junction next to Dr. Ambedkar college, Wadala, Mumbai on 11 January 1982.
